Where will clinical training take place?
For small animals, students attend the veterinary hospital at TUAT, and for large animals, students attend two-week internships at the university's attached cowshed and Iwate University. In addition, students themselves participate in internships at hospitals and ranches across the country.
I believe I will have the opportunity to go to Iwate University to study, but how often and for how long? Will I need to stay in a boarding house in Iwate?
In the fifth year, students will go to Iwate University for two weeks for large animal training. It is also possible to choose a laboratory at Iwate University (assigned from the first half of the 5th year).
The university will arrange accommodation.

Can I learn about marine and aquatic life?
Among aquatic organisms, there is a lecture subject called ichthyology that deals with fish diseases. There is no practical training.
It's perfectly fine to look inside an animal's body through a screen, but to be honest, I don't know what will happen if I actually look at it. Is it still okay?

I don't like blood, are there any students like me? Is it something that can be overcome through repeated practice? I am especially anxious about surgical training.

Is it Cooperative Department of Veterinary Medicine you can gain a deeper understanding of companion animals and pets and learn about "coexistence with humans"? The Department of Regional Systems Studies also has a minor program called "Coexistence between Humans and Animals," but which one is more likely to teach you about coexistence with companion animals and pets?
At the individual level, it would be Cooperative Department of Veterinary Medicine, and at the ecological level, it would be a regional ecological system.
Will I be affiliated with a research lab after enrolling?
Students join a laboratory from the second half of their fourth year and conduct specialized education unique to the laboratory, including graduation research.
Is there a capacity for the laboratory? Will everyone be assigned to their desired laboratory?
There is a limited number of places, so students consult with each other to decide.
Are veterinary students also part of the club?
Most students also enjoy club activities.
How many people from Cooperative Department of Veterinary Medicine have gone on to work in zoos, such as as zookeepers or veterinarians?
There are variations depending on the year, but about one person a year gets a job.
